The Body Shops Vitamin C Energizing Face Spritz - A Quickie Post

Todays quickie post is a product rave about the Vitamin C spritz from The Body Shop. Firstly this stuff smells incredible. Not like a fake orangey smell that has a detergent feel to it, instead it just smells fruity and refreshing. Which is just lovely in the morning to wake up tired looking skin or towards the end of the day to refresh dull skin.
While I love this product on bare skin as a refresher, the main reason that I love it is for setting my makeup in the morning. I used to use my NYX makeup setting spray but for me it's sort of hard to get hold of and I go through it so quickly. Plus it has no skin benefits whatsoever and is basically an alcohol spray on your skin not nice. This is so easy to find and is much larger than the NYX one. It also adds moisture into your skin instead of drying it out. The reason that I love this so much is the look that it gives when spritzed over a powdered face. I'm not the biggest fan of a matte powdery finish but I don't like cream products. So this gives me the best of both worlds. When applied over the powder it just removes that sometimes noticeable powder that sits on top of the skin. It leaves your face looking dewy and glowy like normal skin!

If your in the market for a setting spray this one is amazing and I would highly recommend it, unless you don't like oranges....then stay well away!

A Kylie Jenner Lip Tutorial

I have a weird obsession with Kylie Jenner. Even though she is a few years younger then me I just really appreciate her sense of style and her makeup looks. This post is going to be on how to get her signature lip look.

It's a pretty simple matte nude lip, however Kylie over draws her lips to make them look fuller that's the power of makeup! To achieve this look I will be using Macs Whirl lip liner. The reason for this is because it appears to be the one that Kylie uses, however because there are usually filters on her photos its kind of hard to tell.

To begin with I make sure my lips are well exfoliated, matte lips do no work well on un even and rough lips so make sure they are soft and smooth! I then put a few dabs of this Innoxa gloss on my lips. Because the pencil is so matte it can be a little hard to work with, this just ensures that the product goes on smoothly.

I then begin with the top arches of my lips, its the easiest place to start and means that I can get a fuller looking lip. I just draw a cross accross my lip it makes it easier then trying to get a perfect outline.

I then draw in my bottom lip starting from the middle and working out.

I then draw on the sides of my top lip, going slightly outside the line to again add fullness.

Finally I fill in my lips lightly with the pencil.

It can look kind of dark at this point so I just use a clean finger and rub the product into my lip to take away some of the colour.

I then put some more of that gloss over the whole thing to make sure that the colour is how I want it.
Finally I just blot my lips to remove the shine from the gloss because Kylie's lip is typically a matte one!!

And voila we have Kylie Jenner lips!

Non Beauty Favourites

A slightly different post from me today, one that involves non beauty related items, purely because sometimes its nice to mix things up a little!

Voss Water Bottle

This Voss bottle or the "tumblr" bottle as I like to call it has not left my bedside table since I bought it. It's a glass bottle that holds 800ml of water and for some strange reason I drink more water because of this thing then I would out of any other bottle. One thing that I love doing is adding fresh fruits or berries to the bottle to make my own healthy alternative to cordial! Seriously in love with this bottle and I'm pretty sure my skin has also been loving the added water as well.

Circa Home - Oceanique Room Diffuser

Last month I got an overly excited call from one of my friends saying that she had found the candle of all candles. Even though I am 21 my parents still get all nervy when they know I have a candle in my room so having one was just not an option for me however the scent of the candle comes in a fool proof form that is a diffuser! Let me just say that this diffuser smells like men, more specifically hot muscly well groomed men. That might sound strange but there is something so comforting going to sleep with the smell of cologne in your room. For all you single gals out there like me this is just the nicest thing to have around. I realise how creepy this sounds but seriously...just smell it and you'll understand.

The 100

After the Vampire Diaries rapt for the season let's not even talk about it shall we because I am still tortured from it I was all out of a Friday night show. Coming home from work on a Friday, having an unhealthy meal and a hot shower followed by the Vampire Diaries was just a tradition. So I went looking for something to fill the void, and boy did I! The 100 was a show that I'd heard of but never paid much attention too, it involves attractive people, the future, space, love triangles politics and did I mention attractive people? Its a post apocalyptic drama or so the wikipedia page says. I don't want to give anything away but for all my Aussies out there, there are a few familiar faces that appear in the show, some Neighbours actors and even Rosie from The Sleepover Club! Need I say more.

Midi Rings

I've always loved the midi ring trend but never actually looked into buying any. When I saw Lovisa having a sale and found this mixed pack for only $3.95 I thought why the heck not?! I am obsessed with these little guys, I wear them with every outfit no matter how casual or how dressy they just look so cool.

Nike Roshe Run

The sneaker with every day outfit trend was one that I vowed to stay away from due to the pure dorkiness and the fear of wearing  "junners" jeans and runners. However after buying the black and white Roshe Runs from Nike I have become a hypocrite and I wear them with everything. With jeans, with workout clothes, with leather leggings and with boyfriend style pants. They just look so cool and so efortless plus they are so incredibly comfortable as opposed to wearing boots or a chunky heel.

Mimco Collection & Reviews

I thought about doing a Mimco collection but didn't think I had enough items to show you, as I started to grab all the things that I owned I realised that I have quite a few leather good from Mimco and seeing as my review of the pouches went down so well I figured why not just show you my entire collection.

The Small Pouches

The small pouches were the first things that I ever bought from Mimco. I've done a full review showing you what you can fit in these little guys and the whole story on how much I paid for them, so check that out if you want a more in depth review! They are just the perfect size if you're going out and bringing your phone, cards and cash and maybe a lipstick or something. They are so easy to carry around which makes them perfect for nights out.

The Medium Pouch

The medium pouch was an addition that I made when I started driving the reason being that it fits my keys! The smaller size has no room for keys so I figured seeing as I used them so much I may as well get the larger size. This one is probably my most used pouch out of all the pouches I own. Again I have done a full review of this so check out that post for more.

The Quilted Wallets

These two are the exact same looking wallet one is just the smaller version of the other!
The larger of the two was my everyday wallet for a really long time, however due to the colour being so light it's a peachy pink colour it wore really terribly and ended up being this strange grey tinged pink. It was just not pretty, and even though it had served me well I decided to upgrade and get one that didn't look like I'd dragged it through dirt. This poor thing now just sits in my draw waiting to be used.

The smaller was an impulse buy after I purchased my Hudson Moto Mini because my bigger wallet wouldn't fit in it. However I used this only once...so I've sold it and it is no longer part of my little Mimco family and has been sold to a good home where it will hopefully get more love.

The iPhone Sleeve

I bought this iPhone sleeve after I got my new phone to use as a case for it. It is the least practical thing in the entire world, for me at least who is constantly checking her phone having to pull it out every time I want to use it is just annoying. If you leave you're phone in your bag for long amounts of time however and don't want it getting scratched then this would be perfect for you! I am currently selling this on my ebay account so if you would like to buy it you can!

The Envelope Wallet

This is my everyday wallet. I absolutely adore this, it is so huge and fits all of my cards and all my coins and everything else I feel like carrying around. The only downside to its largeness is that it doesn't fit in any of my small bags but I make do!

That is my entire Mimco collection! Hope you enjoyed and if you have any questions about anything Mimco I will gladly answer them.

A Lazy Girls Nighttime Routine

I am the first to admit that I either do nothing with my skin care or everything, there is no in between. I can be seriously lazy when it comes to anything that takes effort at night and involves my face. However I feel like I do enough! Also this isn't every night, just those nights when I'm too tired or maybe a little intoxicated and cannot be bothered with the full skin care routine.

The best way to get me to do something I've found is by having all the essentials right by my bed, that way if I'm already in bed I wont have to get out again so lazy I know, it sounds so bad!! So I keep all of my little bits and bobs either in this little case which I got from eBay in in my bedside table draws.

I start with my favourite makeup wipes the Johnsons Face Care Daily Essentials ones to remove all of the left over makeup on my face. These are really great at taking makeup off and I don't feel so bad about not properly cleansing my skin.

I then spritz a little of this Vitamin C Face Spritz onto a cotton pad and just pat it into my skin, it just makes my skin feel refreshed and not so icky after being out.

I then put a few drops of the Bio Oil onto a cotton pad and dab it all over my face, this stuff is incredible at making your skin feel silky soft and hydrated. It's the best moisturiser that I've tried on my face and just has the ability to make my skin feel like new! if thats even possible

If I'm feeling in a pampering mood I put on a coat of the Nail Envy by OPI. This isnt a step that I do every night its one that I try and do every night. Its not crucial but I feel good for my nails after I've done it.

Final step before sleep is a lip treatment this one by Nuxe is one that I will not talk about because I have talked about it enough!

Last little thing is I take 2 of these Complete Sleep tablets. A lot of people don't know this but I have a serious issue getting to sleep and then staying asleep for long periods of time. The reason I don't tell anyone is because their first reaction is to say things like "Just go to sleep earlier?!" or my personal fave "If you weren't on your phone so late you'd fall asleep" If I lay in bed at 8:30pm with no phone no laptop no nothing to distract me I would lie wide awake until 4:30am without the slightest amount of sleep. These tablets aren't sleeping pills they just aid you into sleep and help keep you there. Please don't judge people for whatever issues they are facing, it isn't nice and it doesn't help anyone feel better about anything. Rant Over!.

May Favourites

Another month has flown by and all I'm left with are a bunch of products that I have been obsessing over. A pretty random bunch of stuff this month, some old and some new so lets get into the roundup!

Mac Lipstick in Creme D'Nude

I've only recently discovered that this is one of those lip colours that girls stay away from because of the whole "foundation lips" thing. Which kind of made me feel slightly awkward about loving it so much. However, on me it doesn't looks like foundation at all. Its the perfect nude shade for my skin tone! Maybe that just makes me really pale which is just sad but I do really love this shade on me it just completes any look that I may be wearing and just makes everything look a little more put together.

Zoeva 28 Nudes Palette

This is a new purchase for me this month and lets all take a moment of silence to just look at how amazing the colour selection in this guy are. *pauses for admiration* This palette is just amazing and has every nude colour you could ever need. It even has one weird pink colour that may look like blush in the pan but is actually a really gorgeous shimmery light shade that I've been using all over the lid. The pigmentation however isn't something to twist and shout about however for the price of the palette I wasn't expecting miracle holy grail eye shadows. It does the job and does it well.

Sleek Contouring Kit in Light

I've been looking into contouring kits for a while now and decided to just bite the bullet and get one that wasn't too expensive in case I had a complete fail whilst using it and then regretted spending so much money. This incredible affordable one from Sleek does exactly what I wanted. It has a dark matte brown that is the perfect shade for lighter skin tones. You only need a tiny amount of this as it is so incredibly pigmented and you just blend it out under the cheekbone for some definition! The highlighter isn't so bad either which is a bonus as I only really wanted to contouring colour, definitely worth checking out!

Smashbox Eye Shadow Brush

This brush is the best blending brush I've ever used to date. You can tell how fluffy it is in the picture and it is just so soft and nice when using it on the eyes. This one is the double ended brush that came with the Full Exposure Palette another major favourite of mine and is one that I disregarded until I decided to wash my usual eye brushes and this was the only dry one left. It was like fate telling me to use this little guy and thank you fate because I haven't stopped!

Elf Daily Brush Cleaner

It's cheap. It smells nice. It works really well. It drys quickly. That is all you need to know about this spot cleaner. Literally it cleans your brushes really well for something so cheap and I am super impressed with this. If your in need of something to just spot clean your brushes check this one out form elf!

Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser

This is one of those products that I call "Forget Me Not" products. The products that you love when you first buy them and then they end up in the back of your draws lost for a few months then you find them again and its like you've been reunited with your long lost love except probably not that dramatic. This concelear is so good at covering up dark circles, like the product says it just erases them. If you haven't seen the millions of people talking about how amazing this is then where have you been?! Go try it and thank me later.

There you have it! Another month, another roundup.
