Now i'm not sure if I've said this before but last month was my last bellabox as I cancelled my subscription. Now don't get me wrong I have tried bellabox for over 16 months and it has had its highs and lows. Towards the end of our little relationship I wasn't as excited to receive my little blue box each month. So I went searching for a new love and boy have I found one.
The Marie Claire "The Parcel" box is the same thing as the bellabox except instead of being $15 a month its $25 every season. At first I was a bit unsure of paying the extra money because I thought it was going to be like bellabox was. When I received my Parcel this afternoon I was so thrilled with its contents and now will willingly pay the $25 a month because I know that the products are good and are decent sizes. So here is what I received this month!
There is not one thing in this box that I wouldn't use, which makes me one happy little vegemite!

Update + My Work!
Safe to say I've been the worst blogger in the world and the only excuse that I have is that I have been super busy with assignments and makeup assessments that my blog got neglected. Well as far as my makeup assessments go, I only have 1 left and then I'm done with my course which is super crazy to me because it feels like just yesterday that I was writing about my decision to change my career and start living the life that I wanted! Well the time has finally come and after the 21st of December I'll be living that life.
As part of my course we were given the task of developing our own photo shoot, so I thought I'd just share some of the snaps from my shoot! I went for a bronzey glowy makeup because thats the makeup that I love to see and that I love to do. Hope you enjoy these images as much as I do and I promise that I will be back to posting all things beauty once my course is finished!

Viseart Sultry Muse Palette - Review
Prepare yourself for all sorts of kind words that are about to spoken about the Viseart Palette because this palette is seriously amazing.
Through my Makeup Artist course I hear about all sorts of amazing products all the time and the Viseart palettes were an item that kept popping up in conversation. Of of the girls had an all matte palette which was stunning and when she used it on me I fell in love. Browsing the web as I tend to do I found a Viseart palette on ebay for only 35 pounds...they retail for around 95$ here in Australia so this was a great deal to begin with. Then I saw a little message from Ebay saying I could get 20$ off my purchase which ofcourse I used! Long story short I paid around $30 for this palette which is an incredible deal!!
The palette itself 12 shades all of which are shimmery not glittery! theres a difference you can get all matte shades or all shimmers the mattes are next on my list! The Sultry Muse palette has a great mix of shades all of which are completely wearable, my favourites being the two coppery brass shades which look amazing against blue eyes.
The quality of these shadows is insane. They are super buttery to apply and are so pigmented that just touching the shadow leaves your finger tip stained with colour. Another thing I've noticed with the palette is that while the colours look kind of glittery in the pan it doesn't show up as chunky glitter on the eye and instead just shows up as a sort of glow which is stunning. They also work really well without a primer and last ages on the eye lid even with oily lids like I have.
Theres always one shade in every palette that I don't get along with and in this palette its the white one. Purely because I have some kind of aversion to white shadows used anywhere on the eye. However this one is so pigmented and shimmery that it would be amazing for a night time highlight on the cheekbones as it would just give a beautiful glow to the skin.
Overall this palette has become a staple for me and for using on clients as the shadows are just so universal and easy to work with. I will definitely be investing in more of them in the future!

DIY Brown Sugar and Coconut Body Scrub
I promised my body scrub recipe and I am delivering it to you! Now keep in mind this isn't some really fancy scrub that's going to stop your skin from ageing or help with any skin issues that you might have but it will keep your skin soft and smooth and that is good enough for me!
You Will Need...
Method
Put it all in the jar and mix! That is literally all you need to do, then you can enjoy the amazing smelling scrub that you now have!
I tend to use this scrub if I'm shaving my legs as it just gets rid of all the dead skin leaving you with a nice smooth surface to then shave on top of.
Even my dog loves it...
If you try this out please let me know!!

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes - A Not So Good Update
In my September Favourites I added the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes which I was using on and off for a few weeks in the month of September. Obviously because it was a favourites I said that I was loving them because of how easily they removed my makeup which is still very true. However when I bought a new pack of them they have really begun to irritate the hell out of my eyes.
I have sensitive eyes to begin with so I need have a good routine with my products so I don't end up with the whole watery eye situation that can happen. I have nothing against the way these remove makeup because they do an amazing job, I just wont be using them around my eyes anymore purely because of how much it stings and how sore the skin around my eyes has gotten.
Once this packet is finished I wont be re purchasing them, and these are probably the last thing that I'll try from the Neutrogena brand Every time I use one of their products I seem to have this problem so its not worth it for me anymore. If these work well for you please let me know, they just don't work well for me.

Garnier Beauty Oil & Scrub Review
Hello lovely people I have a review for you today on something that kind of got me a little excited when I first saw it, and that is the new Beauty Oil range from Garnier! Now I am a sucker for anything 'on trend' and oils are definitely on trend right now. With all the coconut oils and macadamia oils flying around its hard to know what actually works, and seeing as Garnier have just come out with their own I thought I'd share my thoughts on them!
The scrub is what I was most excited for purely because I have really weird skin on my legs that can be really dry at times so having a scrub with oil built in just felt like a real winner for me. Firstly I need to talk about the smell of these products because they both smell amazing and I mean like warm and sugary and just really nice I'm terrible with scents can you tell? *sarcasm* The scent isn't the reason that I wanted to try these well not the whole reason the scrub goes on the skin really nicely and isn't a really harsh exfoliator which is great for sensitive irritated skin. As far as the oil part of this product goes, I didn't really notice it if I'm completely honest. Well not as much as if I were too make my own body scrub, which reminds me! Would you guys like to see a super easy recipe for a body scrub that I make that smells yum and really nourishes your skin once exfoliated? Because I really want to show you how I make it, anyways back onto the product! Overall I wouldn't say this is incredible at hydrating your skin but it does work well as a gentle exfoliator.
Now if I'm completely honest I bought the Beauty Oil because there was a deal going if you bought it with the scrub, so I wasn't super keen on buying it purely because the thought of spraying oil on my body is not appealing. However I am pleasantly surprised, the spray nozzle is actually really nice and disperses the product really well on the skin which I then rub in. It is also non greasy for an oil and while it claims to dry instantly it does take a little bit of time to absorb, which I knew would happen because its an oil right? Not too sure how moisturising it actually is because I've been using the scrub more then oil because I keep forgetting to use it... It does leave your skin super smooth after use though which is always a plus AND it smells amazing!
Overall this range wasn't something to twist and shout about but it does work quite well, will I buy it again once finished? I'm not too sure, we'll see when and if that time comes.
P.S In the time that I wrote this post I decided that I will post my Cocount Body Scrub Recipe because its amazing and needs to be spread out into the world!
