January Roundup

It's been a weird month for me with the products i've been using as I haven't really been using any or wearing any makeup thats what going on holidays does to you. But the few products that I have been using are serious favourites and are worth me talking about, so here it goes!

Toni&Guy Hair Products

For hair there are only two things i've been using, a de-tangler and a moisturising shine spray. Both of these are from toni&guy and both work wonders on my hair. Salt and sand tends to make my hair incredibly knotty so a de-tangler is a must after I get out of the shower. I just use two or three pumps and run it mainly through the back of my hair where it gets most knotty, then I run a wide tooth comb through it starting at the ends and working my way up and voila perfectly smooth hair! As for the shine spray i just spray it though my hair when its dry and it leaves my hair looking soft and smooth.

NYX Dewy Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray

This spray from NYX has probably been my number one favourite this month. Its a setting spray that leaves your skin looking dewy, but not shiny and just all around amazing. I find that if I'm using all powder products on top of my foundation that my skin can tend to look a little powdery even if I've used a dewy finish foundation, so spraying this over the top completely gets rid of that powdery look and replaces it with a dewy/healthy looking finish. It also does keep your make up on for longer and makes my skin feel incredibly smooth, all in all this product is just fantastic and I highly recommend it. They also have a matte finish formula if you were after something for oily skin.

Innoxa BB Cream

I've talked about this product way too much so I'll keep it short here, but this BB has become my favourite everyday base. It has to coverage I want, the finish I want and is a perfect match for my skin even when I'm tanned. When I was at the beach this was all I bought for days when we were going out to lunch or dinner or doing some shopping. Just applying a small amount on with fingers really evens out my skin tone leaving me looking natural and makeup free which is what I want. GO BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Milani Baked Bronzer in Glow

This was one of those products that when I first bought it was slightly disappointed, I mean it looks beautiful but using it as a bronzer just does not work, its too shiny and too orangey to be using all over my face I use my Rimmel Sun Bronzer for that but I soon figured out that this product is amazing as a sort of blush colour and even better as a highlighter. This was another one of the products that I bought with me when I went away and I used it on bare skin to give me some glow and also as an eyeshadow which looks amazing.

Rimmel Apocalips

I'm sorry that I can't tell you the name of this product because I peeled the sticker off oops but it's the bright pink from the bunch. This was the only lip colour that I bought away with me and I absolutely loved it. Just putting on a bit of mascara on my eyes and this on my lips was a perfect more put together look when I couldn't be bothered to do anything else with my makeup. Great pigmentation and a beautiful colour makes this one of my favourite lip products ever.

DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom Fragrance

I originally intended to buy the Golden Delicious version of this fragrance but they didn't have the 30ml size, so instead I had a sniff around and found this little beauty. Its the fresh blossom scent from the DKNY apply perfumes as I call them , thats not their actual name. Its the perfect summer scent, its fresh and light and fruity but with a hint of floral, and I love it.

Marc Jacobs Accessories

Fashion favourite this month has been my new watch and bangle from Marc Jacobs which were 21st birthday gifts from my parents. I am in love with these, they look so nice on the arm together or separately and I've worn them every day this month.

I Got My Brows Threaded?!

I've never been one to fuss too much over my brows, a bit of waxing and bit of plucking the strays always worked for me. However a few of my friends have gotten theirs threaded and have loved the results so I thought why the hell not just give it a go...and boy was I happy.
Firstly it didn't hurt me at all, it was kind of like a slight pinch along the skin but nothing like waxing where the wax is hot and then they tug at your skin and have to pluck on top of it, this was one quick movement and all the hair was gone. I also found that threading was much more precise then waxing is, they are able to remove hairs closer to the eyebrow shape that you want then they can with wax giving you a really defined brow.
Another amazing thing, there was no redness after woulds. If I'm waxing my eyebrows I know that I need to do it at night because otherwise the skin will be red for hours after. I went to a shopping centre to get mine threaded and found that I had absolutely no redness whatsoever. Thinking I'd have to go home after the process was completely unnecessary, and I ended up spending the day shopping and seeing a movie with my friend!

Overall this was a really pleasant experience for me and I am so thrilled with the results. I am a threading convert now and will never look back!

Oh and the whole process literally took 2 minutes..for both brows...seriously.

Bella Box Australia: January Box

Firstly I just wanted to say thank you for being patient with me while I was away, it was some much need relaxation time at the beach with my family, but I am back now and have a bunch of new posts coming your way soon I promise! soo shall we start with what was on my kitchen table when I arrived home? My Bella Box ofcourse!

I was slightly apprehensive in opening this box...purely because I really have not liked the previous two and honestly have not used those products at all. However this month was a surprise! It was back in its original box which to me means more products as its a lot bigger, and I was right.

Im really impressed with this months box, especially because there are no sachets in it! I lost the little card that says what the products are so I wont list them  but you can see in the above picture what each product it

Update

Hello lovely people this post is just going to be a little update from me don't worry it's nothing serious, quite the opposite actually I'm on vacation! Wooo so all this means is that I don't have proper internet, just the internet on my phone which makes me want to throw things everywhere it's so frustrating. So you might not be seeing anything from me for maybe a week or two depending on this internet situation. So all I ask is that you pretty please don't forget about me because I will be back with a whole new range of posts okay? Okay good!

Now I'm off to enjoy the sun and the sand and all things beach hair that come along with that!

Urban Decay Naked 3 Review and Simple Tutorial

When I heard that Urban Decay were bringing out the Naked 3 I didn't really jump around about it the same way that I did with the Naked 2, but when I saw the images of the beautiful shimmery pinks and rose gold tones of the palette I just knew I had to have it. This palette is gorgeous if your into the more soft warm pink tone eye shadows instead of the bronze and cool silvery tones of the other two offerings from the Naked line. Like the other two palettes this one is amazing quality, super buttery shadows and great pigmentation makes it a great little investment.

The look that I created using the palette is seriously easy and is one that I've been using on a daily basis. I start by applying the Urban Decay sin eye shadow primer all over the lid. I then take the colour Liar from the palette and push it into the other half of my lid, focusing the product there.

I then use a mix of Dust and Buzz and apply it to the inner half of my lid, just lightly patting the colour on. I then go back and blend the whole thing up to just my crease using wiper motions to make sure its completely blended. I then used that first colour Liar and applied it under my lash line. Finally I took a mix of Darkside and Factory and using an eye liner brush pushed that into my upper lash line to act as an eye liner.

And that was it! Super simple every day eye look that would really compliment blue and green eyes. The best thing about these palettes is that every eye shadow compliments each other which means that no matter what combination you choose your bound to get something that looks good, making these palettes perfect for those just starting out with makeup, or for those who can't be bothered fussing over what colours they want to use when rushing out the door!

Overall I would definitely recommend this palette, even if you own the other two its just different, which justifies buying it don't you think?

Riri Hearts Mac Pleasure Bomb Lipstick Review + Swatches

Rihanna is just killing it with her Mac collections this year (well last year) and her latest winter collection was no disappointment. From the entire collection I only got one thing, purely because the bronzer was not one that would suit my skin tone and I'm not really a fan of the way the eye shadows were laid out in the kind of shimmer brick form. Plus I already bought the eye shadow quar from the last collection and they were pretty similar. Pleasure Bomb was a lipstick that I saw on Rihanna on her instagram a few months ago and have been waiting for her to say what it was ever since. When I saw it pop up on the Mac website I knew I had to buy it.

Pleasure bomb is a pinky red colour perfect for any time of the year and any time of day. I'm a little bit obsessed with it if you can't tell.

Its also not the retro matte formula like all the others in her Riri Hearts Mac collection which I am so so soooo happy about. The retro matte formula is way to drying and way to hard to apply, it take a lot of effort for a simple red. Pleasure Bomb is just a the regular matte formula which is not drying at all and is really easy to apply, its creamy and glides on much like the other Mac formulas but it just has a matte finish. This lip colour lasts all day, literally all day and night. I wore it on New Years eve from 7 at night until the early hours of the morning and it didn't budge, I didn't even have to reapply which is a first for me!.

I'm thinking that the matte formula Mac lipsticks might be my favourite formula that they have. They are just a dream to work with and the fact that they don't move on the lips is just a major plus.

Overall this is my favourite lipsticks from the Riri Hearts Mac collections so far, however I do have my eye on the new Viva Glam offering from her which will be out soon so hopefully I can get my hands on that!

What's In My Bag (January 2014 Edition) - Rebecca Minkoff Hudson Moto Mini

If you haven't already seen the new addition to my handbag family then meet Hudson, my Rebecca Minkoff Hudson Moto Mini yes I named the bag lets move on. I've already done a full review of the actual bag so be sure to check that out if you want to know more details on the bag itself but in this post I will be showing you the contents of it! Its been a while since I've done one of these so I figure since I got a new bag which is a completely different size to the other that I have done that I will show you what I keep in this one. So here we go!

This is what the interior of the bag looks like when its all full, you can see that it has a printed lining making it really easy to see what you have inside the bag as opposed to a black lining that makes it hard to see inside.
In the back compartment I keep my sunglasses which are Ray Bans in the Aviator style, my little Mimco Wallet which I bought specifically for this bag because it is so much smaller then my other one and actually fits in, then some mints, hair-ties and bobby pins and Band-Aids which are a must for my because I have blister prone feet!
In the front little section I keep all of my lip products, here I have a Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose, the new Pleasure Bomb lipstick from RiRi Hearts Mac, a NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Tokyo and a Lime Crime Lipstick in Contessa Fluorescent. I also keep a hand cream and a little perfume sample in here just incase! Lastly I have my headphones because I always find myself shopping alone or doing things alone so having music there to keep me company is a must!

Not pictured is my phone which is either in my hand or in that little front compartment right on the outside of the bag.

New Year, New Bag. Rebecca Minkoff Hudson Moto Mini Review

I got a new bag, which to me is the most exciting thing ever. Especially when its a bag that I have pretty much been stalking on the Rebecca Minkoff website for months just looking at it and crying about how expensive it was. On the day after my 21st birthday as I was again stalking the bag I noticed it wasn't on the site anymore, I was devastated. So I searched for it on the site just to make sure it was actually gone, then the most wonderful thing happened. IT CAME UP IN THE SALE SECTION....sale section + day after my birthday + more then $100 off original price = a birthday miracle. I bought it without hesitation, not to mention the extra 15% you get off for just signing up for the sites newsletter. Safe to say that this little bag is the light of my life at the moment. Enough of a back story onto the bag and its contents!

The bag is the Rebecca Minkoff Hudson Moto Mini in Midnight with the stud detail on it. Its pretty much me in a bag which is probably why I love it so much. Purchasing this from Australia was slightly annoying as the shipping was a little under $30 which added on top of an already expensive bag is a little frustrating however with the 15% off it pretty much came down to the price it would have been with no shipping charges if that makes sense. I also can't give you a review on the shipping times because I bought mine so close to Christmas that there were extra delays placed on the shipping times an extra 14 days just to have it leave the wear house!  but it says 5 - 9 days once shipped which it definitely was.

For such a small bag it really does fit a lot of stuff, and because it's so structured it makes finding things and storing things in it really easy. The quality of the bag is amazing, its a structured little leather bag with amazing interior and good quality hardware on the outside. I was a bit weary of the studs just because studs tend to just fall off things that are poorly made but this doesn't feel like that will happen. Its all around really well made which is what I would expect from a bag of this price.

I paid $185 dollars for this bag when its original price was around $285 which is an amazing discount for a Rebecca Minkoff bag, but I have noticed that a lot of really amazing styles go on sale all the time on the website so if your after a Rebecca Minkoff bag keep your eyes peeled on that sale section because your love could very well end up there for a bargain!

Unfortunately this bag is no longer on the Rebecca Minkoff site but I've listed some other styles of the bag below on various websites!

Nude Hudson Moto Mini
Red Hudson Moto Mini
Blue Hudson Moto Mini

P.s A what's in my bag featuring this beauty is on its way soon so keep your eyes peeled for that!
