Another slow month in music for me, I've just been rediscovering old favourites which is always a good thing in my mind. I've also been in one of those moods when I skip every single song on my iPod/phone and hate all my music haha.

Taylor By Taylor Swift Fragrance Review

I love all the previous Taylor Swift perfumes and when I heard that she was releasing a new one with a different scent to the others I was really excited. Taylor by Taylor Swift smells nothing like her other two Wonderstruck and Wonderstruck Enchanted. This one is definitely more of a fruity summery smell. Its a very sweet smelling perfume so if your not a fan of that then you probably wont like this one, it smells very strongly of apricots and tangerine with a hint of florals mixed into it.
I'm not going to lie I'm really not a fan of the bottle, I much prefer the bottles of the other two, they just seem more grown up in a way. This bottle has a cheap elastic string of pearls that is removable on the lid and a weird carnival like pattern around to top of the bottle. Lucky for Taylor that I love the scent so much and don't buy fragrances based on the appearance of the bottle.
Overall this fragrance is a great little addition to my summer scents, it also lasts pretty well on the skin I've had it on for more then a few hours and can still smell it quite strongly which is always a plus!

I love this perfume and would recommend it to anyone who love a sweet floral scent!

Easy, No Heat, Beachy Waves!

I love beachy looking hair, and for a long time I thought the only way that I could acheive that look was by using a heat styling tool. However after seeing tutorials everywhere for no heat styles I've realised that there are heaps of ways to achieve this look, so I've taken them all in and adapted them to fit my hair.

So here goes...

You will need, bobby pins, a heat protectant (we're not using this for heat protection though), sea salt spray and hairspray!

Step 1. Separate your hair into two sections. If you have more hair then I do you might want to Separate your hair into 3 or even for sections.

Step 2.  Starting with one section spray a small amount of heat protectant lightly over the hair, this will help the hair set later. Then spray your hair with your salt spray. Try and find one that has some hold to it, that way the waves will hold their shape.

Step 3. Begin twisting the section of hair, twisting away from the face. Make sure that its twisted all the way down to the ends and is tight  before you begin twisting it into the bun.

Step 4. Spray the twist with more sea salt spray

Step 5. Twist hair around on itself, still making sure to twist away from the face. Create these small buns and secure the ends as well as possible with bobby pins. The reason i've used pins and not hair elastics is that I find elastics to leave a weird kink in the hair, which you don't get when using pins.

Step 6. Spray the bun with some more spray, and finish with hair spray.

Repeat the process with the other sections...

I tend to leave mine in for as long as possible, usually while im putting my makeup on and getting ready. Ideally you would leave these in for over an hour to get the full effect the longer they're in, the better the wave!

 35 minutes later....

I left mine in while I did my makeup and got ready for the day which was around 35 minutes, after that time I just released the buns!

Once you kind of mess them up your left with these soft natural looking beachy waves, obviously the longer you leave them in the more wavey your hair will be.

Let me know if you try this out!

Herbal Essences Honey I'm Strong Review

After seeing countless adds for this shampoo and conditioner, and seeing Nicole Sherzinger walk around with her amazing hair I decided that I needed this in my life im an advertisers dream I know.
It claims to make your hair 10x stronger in one wash...there is no way that this could actually do that. And it doesn't. It does however make my hair feel amazing, so silky soft and even hides the appearance of split ends. Nothing can mend split ends except giving them the chop, but you can help the appearance of them by using really moisturizing products
Overall I really love this shampoo and condition, its one of those ones thats not amazing and revolutionary but is just your stock standard shampoo and conditioner that will never fail you.

What hair products have you been loving?

New Skincare Routine - Formula 10.0.6 Review

After searching through the aisles of my local Priceline store for skin care items, I stumbled across this brand. The reason it caught my eye even though you should't judge products this way is because of the packaging. I'm a sucker for cute packaging and fonts im a total nerd I know.  I picked up the scrub in my first trip and loved it so much that I went back for more.
The Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser has quickly become my go to product when I want to really clean my skin. It cuts through the heaviest makeup and is super sensitive around the eye area meaning that I can remove my eye makeup with it aswell.
The consistency took a little getting used to as its kind of a sticky gel. However once on the skin it bubbles into a sort of foam which feels really nice all over the face. I would definitely recommend this if your looking to try a new cleanser.
The One Smooth Operator Pore Cleansing Face Scrub is the first product that I bought from this line and let me say that it's amazing. It literally does what it says, it makes your skin feel so smooth, kind of the way that a pore cleansing strip does without the need to pull and peel one from your nose!
Its also in a gel form with the little scrub beads through it, its not too abrasive but its abrasive enough to  do the trick on my skin. I use this once or twice a week all over my face depending on how my skin feels, but I use it every other day around my nose to clear out the pores there my nose gets kind of icky, not nice!
The So Totally Clean Everyday Cleanser in the Sensitive formula is the latest addition to my Formula 10.0.6 family. It super soothing and goes on so well after the scrub and the foaming cleanser. I apply this every night before I put on my night moisturizer.
Its in a liquid form so I use a cotton wool square to rub it all over my face. It smells like cucumber and is just the nicest thing to apply after a long tiring day, it just refreshes the skin and leaves it feeling hydrated and clean.

So that is my new skin care routine using the Formula 10.0.6 products! Let me know your current skin care routine!

Nail of the Day - China Glaze's Shocking Pink

Now that the weather is starting to warm up here in Australia, I've started to break out all my bright nail colours. This one is the brightest I own and as the name suggests it is literally a neon 'shocking pink' colour.
As far as application goes this is one of the worst polish formulas that I own. It takes at least 4-5 coats to get the truly opaque colour that I would want. However I will say that each coat dries really quickly so applying that many layers isn't difficult. A top coat is a must for me when using this polish as it is 100% matte, if you like matte polishes then you probably don't need a top coat but I prefer a bit of shine on my nails so I use one.
The lasting power on this polish also isn't great, but I blame that on having to apply 5 coats the more coats you apply the easier the polish will chip or peal off.
Overall I couldn't care less about how much I dislike the formula of this polish, the colour alone is worth the hassle it takes to apply it.
