July Favourites

Another month another favourites! I only have a few items this month purely because I've been working full time and when you work with food the last thing I'm thinking about is looking glamorous. Sooo onto the favourites.

Proenza Schouler For Mac Primrose Lustre

When I first got this lipstick I was really disappointed, you can even see the post to prove it. A few weeks ago I was looking for a sheer purple colour in my collection and this one sprang to mind and now I can't get enough of it. It's perfect to use if you want a little but of colour on the lips with nothing to crazy, it also has a little shimmer which I quite like.

Bareminerals 5 in 1 BB Cream Eye Shadow

This product is only a little baby size but I have a feeling it's going to last me a while. This is the type of product that I have been looking for, for the longest time. Its the perfect nude base colour that you just swipe all over the lid blend in with your fingers and you are good to go. Its slightly darker then my skin tone which makes it look like an eye shadow and less of a concealer. It also has a little sparkle to it which looks amazing. When this runs out I am buying the full size and probably more of the colours because I love it so much.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette

THIS PALETTE IS AMAZING. Just putting it out there...it really is. Every single powder in here does something magical to the skin, I don't know how but it just does. I use the powder on the left of the palette to set the concealer under my eyes, its a little too glowy for the whole face but under the eyes it's perfect. The middle powder I use for down my nose and on my cupids bow and the powder to the right I use for the cheekbones and for anywhere else I want a bronzer glow. This has become a holy grail staple product in my everyday makeup and I just love it so much.

Gucci Premier

I got a new fragrance this month to replace my Jimmy Choo Flash it was way too strong and causing my severe headaches so it had to go this smells like a night out to me. Its warm and musky but also has a slight floral smell to it. It also doesn't give me a headache which is an added bonus!

Nars Eye Paint in Ubangi

This has been my go to liner for this month. Its a navy/dark blue with shimmer to it. These eye paints are amazing for liner as they go on so smoothly making them really easy to apply. They also look really good against blue eyes which I happen to have. These eye paints also make great bases for shadow or for use on their own.

Those are my favourites for this July!

The Wishlist #3 - Beauty Addition

Now I've done a few of these wish list posts in the past that have contained a whole bunch of stuff but this month I have been lusting after all things beauty so this post will be purely about all the beauty bits that I want but just can't have!

1. Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

I WANT THIS PALETTE SO BADLY! It looks stunning and the colours look so nice! There isn't one colour in there that I wouldn't use which is so rare for a palette with this many colours. I also love how they give you two larger shades because I can already tell that those two would be used most for highlighting and for all over the lid!

2. Eccentric Molecules Molecule 01 Perfume

Whenever I go into a Mecca store I always spray this perfume on me without failure. It is amazing, and is so unique. It only has one perfume molecule in it and it reacts differently to everyones bodies. Every time I wear this someone asks what perfume I have on! However at $140 its going to stay on my wish list.

3. Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray

I've just run out of my Toni&Guy sea salt spray and feel like this might be the one I repurchase simply because I have heard so many good things about it. The downside is that it costs three times as much as my original one and I don't see how they could be any different! Thinking I might just stick to my Toni&Guy and try this one when I'm feeling a little more spendy.

4. Nars Smokey Eye Kit

This is a new release for Nars in their new collection and when I saw it I just thought it was amazing. I mean its a perfect smokey eye in a convenient little palette plus you get a brush and an eyeliner! However after looking into it all these colours are in the Narsissist palette which I managed to get my hands on see post coming next week! So I think I'll give this one a miss, plus I can guarentee this little pack wouldn't have made its way down to Aus anyway!

5. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturiser

I got a sample of this a while ago and absolutely adored it. It really does make a dramatic difference in the appearance of your skin, the reason its on my wish list is that its kind of expensive for the size so again this one will have to wait till pay day!

6. Hourglass Arch & Brow Brow pencil

I have heard so many good things about this brow product that makes me eager to try it. The shape of it to start with is the perfect shape for one step brows, it also has the reputation for lasting all day which means your brows wont slide off midday! This is a must try and might just be a recent purchase of mine stay tuned for that one!

Mecca Beauty Loop Inside Box

Every three months I think it is Mecca the current Sephora equivalent here in Aus sends me an email saying that my Beauty Loop Inside box is ready. Basically its like the subscription services like bellabox except that you don't pay a monthly fee. Instead, depending on how much you spend a year in the store you just have to sign up and you get it for free! Which is a pretty good deal especially if you are already spending money in there. I'm only on Level 1 which means that I spend around $300 in store a year. There are 3 different levels and a whole bunch of benefits depending on where you are. For the full details see here: http://www.meccacosmetica.com.au/BeautyLoop/

Heres a closer look at this box!

Bellabox Australia: July Box Review

A late Bellabox arrival this month due to something happening with the shipping, however it is now with me and I am going to show you its contents!

If you read my review on last month you will be pleased to know that I didn't receive any hair bits this month cheers excitedly instead I got some other goodies!

Too quickly sum it up I'm most excited for the lashes and the nail polish!, least excited for the lip butter and the really tiny moisturiser. That was my july box! Hopefully yours was slightly better as I'm starting to lose hope in the whole monthly subscription thing.

A Whole New Brow Game - Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil Review

You guys, something has happened that has changed everything. And this something is very important. EYEBROWS! I went into Mecca as you do just casually browsing the aisles and stumbled upon the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencils and I literally just stood staring at them for a solid 5 minutes. They just look so pretty! After testing them on the back of my hand I had a complete 'yolo' moment yes I said yolo I grabbed the soft brown colour and just bought it. I am not disappointed that I did this product is amazing.

First of all the packaging is amazing, much better then my plastic brow pencil from Mac. It comes with a spoolie on one end and let me tell you its the best spoolie I've ever come across if thats even possible and the perfectly shaped twist up product on the other end. Compared to the Mac brow pencil which you can't unwind once you wind it up this one is a dream. Wind it up as much as you like then wind it down when you're done!

Its a hard waxy product which means that you can't go overboard with the colour, you can just gradually build it up until you have the desired eyebrow. The best thing about this product is how natural it looks, its not too ashy or too brown, it just looks like eyebrow hairs which is so important.

As you can see the colour is so natural and just looks like you have really good brows without the help of any brow products.

A Sephora Haul?

Now this might seem like a strange post especially because as an Australian I am not priveleged enough to have a Sephora anywhere near me plus they don't ship internationally. But, I have an incredibly nice friend who recently went to the states and asked me to name a few items and she would pick them up for me. Here is what she managed to bring home for me!

Nars Schiap Lipstick

I have wanted the Nars Schiap lipstick for the longest time but the Australian price tag had always put me off. However with it being way cheaper in the states I figured that I might as well just buy it. It's a gorgeous bright pink shade one that I haven't tried yet but will be testing out very soon.
Aus Price: 39$  Sephora Price: 26$

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette

The ambient lighting palette is one that I coudln't get my hands on when it first hit Australia it also had a rather high price tag. The three powders in the one palette means that you can try out nearly the whole range in the one palette plus you don't get a huge amount of each. So far Dim Light is my favourite but I haven't tried them all out enough to really tell.
Aus Price: 95$  Sephora Price: 58$

Nars Narsissist Palette

This is probably the most exciting part of this whole haul. The Narsissist Palette is one that I have been lusting after since I first saw it but it was only released in select stores here in Aus. When I saw that it was still available on the Sephora website I told my friend that she had to hunt it down and she did! I love this palette and cannot wait to use it!
Aus Price: Not 100% sure but it was over the 120$ mark  Sephora Price: 79$

Naked Flushed Palette

The Naked Flushed Palette was another product that I really wanted to try, it looks amazing for travelling and for just having in your makeup bag. It has a blush a bronzer and a highlighter all in one. What more could you need?
Aus Price: 46$  Sephora Price: 30$

The Body Shops Camomile Cleansing Butter Vs. The Cleansing Oil

This post is a showdown between The Body Shops Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter Versus its more oily opponent The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil. Both of which are really similar products and I mean really similar. So similar in fact that the only difference is their consistencies!

The Body Shops Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

The butter is slightly harder to work with then the oil and is the main reason that I prefer the oil over the butter. With the butter you have to scoop out the amount that you need from the tin, something that I don't really like doing as I tend to make a bit of a mess. It also takes a little more effort to work into the skin mainly because you have to massage it from the butter form into an oil. Another thing is that you cannot have wet hands or moisture on your face when using the butter because it wont work. It just doesn't melt down when there is any liquid interference. Overall it really does remove your makeup well extremely well actually and is a product that I would definitely recommend.

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

The oil version comes in a pump bottle which is super convenient to use, I tend to pump out two or three pumps and that removes my entire face of makeup even my mascara. Which is something that I like about the product, I know exactly how much I need to do my whole face and the pump makes it easy to tell. With the butter you kind of just have to dig around hoping that you have enough. The oil also isn't effected by any other moisture on your face because it is already in that oil form unlike the butter which just wont work at all.

Comparing the two is like comparing the same product because it pretty much is. The butter turns into the oil when massaged into the skin so they pretty much are the same thing. However convenience wise I'd choose the oil form because it is easier to control and I think you get more value for money!

Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser: A Review

I saw this on the shelves of Priceline recently and was really intrigued, I've never seen a charcoal skincare product before and decided that I'd give it a try it was also 20% off which is always a contributing factor when I buy things. Another thing that caught my intention was the 'Deep Pore' part as I love using products that unclog my pores leaving my skin feeling super soft.

First time I used this I applied it all over my face, big mistake. Use this product only on the areas that need unclogging, for me thats around my nose and just on the centre of my chin, this is way to harsh to be using all over your face. It also has a slight tingling sensation when left on your skin, I'm not sure if thats just on me but it only happens when I used it all over, not so much when I used it only on my nose.

It does work incredibly well though. I feel as though I've just used one of those pore strips you know the Princess Diaries nose pore strips? and that this product literally draws out all the grossness that tends to build up in that area.

All in all it does exactly what it says on the tin, it unclogs your pores. Just make sure you don't use this all over your face and only the spots that you need it.

Born Pretty Store Accessories Review

Born Pretty Store is an online boutique that I could literally spend all day browsing through. They have so many unique pieces that are super affordable. I got in contact with Born Pretty Store and they sent me out a few items to try plus they gave me a discount code for you guys so you can get 10% off your first order!

Concise Chain Link Ring Boho Gold Plated Bracelet

This hand chain is something that I am currently obsessed with. I have another one similar to it but it has jewels and stones on it which can be a bit much when paired with a simple outfit. This one is so plain and looks amazing when paired with other rings or one of the many watches that I have. Even on its own it adds a simple touch to any outfit.

You can buy this here: http://www.bornprettystore.com/concise-chain-link-ring-boho-gold-plated-bracelet-p-14572.html

Classic Chain-Link Necklace Concise Wide Curb Chain Necklace

This chunky silver necklace is great for nights out, or for dressing up a basic plain outfit. It is really lightweight which means that you can wear it for long amounts of time without it hurting the back of your kneck something that always happens to me. I didn't own a silver chunky chain but felt like I needed one in my collection and this one is beautiful.
