December Roundup

I've had a seriously busy December which means I don't have too many favourites, I've sort of been sticking to what I know works for me and is easy. I do have a few new things though that I thought I'd share so here is my December roundup!

For makeup I've been literally obsessed with this Milani blush in luminoso. It is so glory and beautiful on the skin and literally makes you look radiant. It's the perfect coral colour for the summer with a gold sheen through it, would definitely recommend this product!

Another makeup item that Ive been loving is the Nars radiant creamy concealer. It is totally worth the hype in my opinion as it covers everything, under eye circles and blemishes stand no chance against this concealer. I also use mine to highlight my face a little as it is slightly too light for my skin.

Last month I found my perfect nude lip, this month it's the ultimate every day pink lip combo. Macs Creme Cup lipstick with the Nyx butter gloss in maple blondie over the top. It's just a beautiful soft pink colour that I find really flattering and will getting a lot of use out of over the warmer months.

For perfume this month I have used the Juicy Couture la Fleur every single day without fail. It is the most beautiful floral but fresh scent. It smells similar to the other Juicy fragrances but with a more floral edge as the name suggests. If you like soft floral scents then I would definitely recommend this one.

Fashion favourite this month has been layering necklaces, this one from sportsgirl is great because it comes already layered for you with three different tiers of turquoise jewels. It's easy to throw on top of any outfit and just gives it that bohemian relaxed feel which is perfect for summer!

Those are my favourites for December!

Christmas Nails - Essie Good as Gold

I'm definitely one for wearing polishes based on the time of year, and Christmas time is the best time of the year for doing this. I've done reds, I've done the Santa Hat nails I've even done glitter polises and accent nails but this year I'm going plain and simple with this gorgeous polish from Essie. Good as Gold is a true gold colour, it looks like I've dipped my fingers into metallic gold paint and I love it.

Its also one of the best quality polishes that I've ever used, one coat and this beauty was completely opaque which is a rare occurrence in nail polishes. It also dried in less then a minute which is even more rare in my opinion. Overall this is a beautiful polish for the festive season and looks gorgeous on the nail. I know that Christmas day I will be sporting this colour 100% as I'm in love with it!

What are your polish choices for the festive season?

Collective Beauty Haul

I've gone slightly beauty crazy this month...I have the Urban Decay Naked 3 on the way... and figured the only way that I can justify all this spending is by showing you guys what I've purchased. Most of this stuff comes from Cherry Culture and there are a few other random bits thrown in there from Mac and Limecrime, so on with the haul!

For the eyes I bought the NYX Natural Palette, I do not remember choosing this one late night shopping will do that to you. I actually really like this palette I just don't need it, but will use it anyway! I also repurchased my Fling eye brow pencil from Mac.

For the lips I went even more crazy, I got two of the Cherry Culture lip balms which I adore, one is Strawberry and the Other in Bummblegum, I bought the Creme Cup lipstick from Mac which is gorgeous, two of the much hyped Nyx Butter glosses one in Eclaire the other in Maple Blondie and finally the Limecrime lipstick in Contessa Fluorescent. The Creme Cup lipstick looks amazing when paired with the more purply of the two Nyx Butter glosses

For the face I bought the a Nyx blush in Pinched, two Milani powders, a bronzer and a blush in Luminoso. I also got the Nyx Setting Spray in Dewy Finish and the OCC tinted moisturizer which is the most amazing tinted moisturizer that I have ever used and I would highly recommend it! Both Milani products were ones that I've heard so much about Luminoso is truly gorgeous on the skin and when paired with the glowy bronzer just makes you look radiant, I'm obsessed with them both!

Lastly Priceline were having a 2 for 20$ on Essie nail polishes and if your in Australia you know that one on its own is $16...so it's a no brainer I had to get two, the first being a gold colour called Good as Gold which I plan on wearing on Christmas Day and the second one is a luxe effect called A Cut Above which is a gorgeous pink glitter!

Have you done any shopping this month? Please tell me what you've bought so I feel better about my crazy spending habits.

Bella Box Australia: December Box

This months Bella Box was a bit of a shock when it arrived, I'm used to the brightly coloured packaging but all I got was this brown box. Inside was as slightly underwhelming as the box itself, with 5 samples and a few sachets of products which I cannot stand as I never use them.

We were also promised with a tote bag this month, usually when you think of a tote bag you think of something big enough to carry actual things around in, this is the smallest little tote bag I've ever seen and have no idea  what use I have for it. Anyway I'm annoyed at this months box, but have been so thrilled with previous months that I'll keep on getting them.

La Roche - Posay Lipikar Baume Ap Review.

Pardon the pun but I've been going through a real rough patch with my skin, particularly on my legs. It started with just really dry skin then moved onto itchy skin which was really annoying. I finally realised that something was wrong when I scratched at my leg and it bled...not pretty. I had tried everything, moisturizers, balms, in shower products, waxing instead of shaving but nothing worked, my skin was still completely irritated. It then hit me all at once, I have eczema prone skin, I've been that way since I was a child. So I started to look into products that we're specifically targeted for those with eczema prone skins and every search led me to this one product from La Roche - Posay. This bottle retails for $42 here in Australia which is a lot to pay but you get 400ml and only need two pumps per entire leg so it really isnt that expensive especially considering how well it works.
This product worked instantly. Unlike other moisturizers that would leave my skin tingly and still itchy this one felt like it was numbing the itch away, its incredibly soothing on the skin which is fantastic for when my legs are just so insanely irritated.

After a week of using this my legs we're back to the way that they had been in the past, still a little dry but no longer irritated which was my biggest concern. It says that it replenishes the lipids in your skin which it seriously does. I have no idea what kind of magic is in this that makes it work the way it does but it must be doing something right if it is endorsed by the eczema foundation.

If you have dry irritated skin any where on your body I would highly recommend this product.

I got mine from Priceline here in Australia.

How to: Santa Hat Nails

Hello everyone, Happy Holidays! This little tutorial is a really simple really cute little nail art design that is seriously so simple and easy to create that anyone can do it. Its basically just a little accent nail that looks like a santa hat! I suggest playing your favourite Christmas album Justin Bieber Under The Mistletoe is currently blaring from my laptop and get all the supplies and start having some fun with your nails!

So you will need...

A base coat, a red polish of your choice, a white polish of your choice, a top coat, scissors and tape!

Start by applying your base coat to your nails.

Then apply however many coats of red polish it takes till yours is opaque on all your nails except the one you want to have your little hat on, I did mine on my ring fingers but you can do yours wherever you wish.

Then your going to cut two little pieces of your tape and apply them to your nail so that you make a triangle shape. I find that placing one piece on a diagonal from the center of the nail works the easiest for me, and then I apply the other piece exactly the same on the other side. Im then going to apply a coat of the red polish over the top of that.

Then your going to peel the tape carefully off revealing the little triangle shape left behind! Don't worry if its a little messy on the sides, just remove the imperfections with polish remover I know I had to..

Then using your white polish we are going to start making the little dots that are the white trimming on the top and the bottom of the santa hat.

So starting with the top, using just the brush that came with the polish or a dotting tool if you wish I prefer the brush it makes the white almost look fluffy, which is closer to the actual Santa Hat, just make a small dot at the point of the hat
Then we're going to add three small dots on the base of the triangle, same as we did for the pom pom top!

Once your done it should look something like this... Cute hey!

Then apply your top coat just to seal in the hat and make it last all the way to Christmas!
Hope you enjoyed and let me know if your try this out! and I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and listen to the Biebs Christmas album as much as possible because I know I will haha

November Roundup

Holy guacamole you guys I cannot believe that November is over, this year has actually flown by and the end of November means one thing...CHRISTMAS IS HERE. If you don't already know this, December is my favourite time of year, my birthday is in December, Christmas is in December, New Years happens at the end of December, basically everything exciting in my life happens in this month. Anyway enough about my love for December lets get into the products I've been loving for November.

On an every day basis I've been wearing a nude lip. Nude lips have always been super difficult for my because I can never pick the right shade for my skin tone and I either look like I've covered my lips in concealer or that I've fake tanned them orange. This little combination is the perfect shade for me at the moment. Its Rimmel lipstick in Nude Delight with a Benefit gloss in Life on the A List over the top which creates a beautiful lip colour.

For my eyes this month I've been reaching for my Rihanna for Mac Her Cocoa palette. It has four beautiful colours which are perfect for an everyday look, it also transitions really well into night time looks which is perfect for days when I go out straight from work! Ive done a full review of this palette so be sure to check that out.

Im not going to rant and rave about this too much but I've been adoring the Skin Food concealer this month, it literally wipes away my dark circles leaving me looking awake. Again I've done a full review of this so check that out for more details!

For my base this month I've been using the Innoxa BB cream on an every day basis. It is just the perfect level of coverage and the perfect colour for me which is a rare find in a BB cream. Ive also done a review on this so check that out for more information.

My perfume choice for the month has been the One Direction fragrance Our Moment. I know that this might be a bit strange for those who don't like One Direction but seriously go smell this, even if you aren't a fan it is just a beautiful scent. Its warm and slightly floral with hints of vanilla and berry in it and makes for the perfect evening scent on warmer nights. Seriously I love this perfume and I'm a huge 1D fan so that helps!

I broke out the Christmas polished a little early this year and started wearing OPI's An Affair In Red Square in November. Its a red with finely milled red glitter in it which is the perfect colour for the Holiday season, its also great for holiday themed nail art which I will hopefully do a tutorial on soon so keep your eyes on the lookout for that!

This has been an essential for me this month, its the Laroche Posay Lipikar Baume AP Lipid Replenishing Body Balm, I'm not going to mention it too much because I will do a full review on this soon but it has seriously changed my life in the way that it has completely fixed my dry skin. It is pricey but if you have incredibly dry skin like I do I would highly highly recommend this stuff.

That is my November Roundup! Hope you enjoyed
