November Playlist

It's been a strange month in music for me, I've been re living my younger years as I tend to do these days purely because the music was better then...just sayin. I've also been working a lot and haven't really had the time to discover new music which sucks! Anyway, this is the playlist for this month!

The Monster - Eminem
Beside You - 5 Seconds Of Summer
Try Hard - 5 Seconds Of Summer
Wherever You Are - 5 Seconds Of Summer
Heal - Tom Odell
All Bad - Justin Bieber
Unthinkable (I'm Ready) - City and Colour
Work - Iggy Izalea
Stolen - Dashboard Confessional
The Permanent Rain - The Dangerous Summer

also...Midnight Memories was leaked on the 18th of November so that entire thing has been absolutely dominating every form of music player that I own, so that is also on the November Playlist.

Innoxa Skin Perfecting Foundation 5 in 1 BB Cream Review

I've been in the market for a BB for the longest time, probably since I first heard Ingrid from Miss Glamorazzi talk about them on her beauty channel. The problem I've found is that I can't get a hold of the Asian ones and that the Western ones have the most ridiculous colour selection and end up making me either shine like a disco ball or turn my face into an orange mess. Enter the Innoxa Skin Perfecting Foundation 5 in 1 BB Cream.... This little guy came out of no where for me, I was browsing the Priceline website late at night which I tend to do a little to often and in the 'new' section I saw this offering from the Innoxa brand. Ive tried a few of their products and have been seriously impressed every time so when Priceline was having their 40% off sale I decided to pick it up and I was not disappointed.

It has a gel like consistency which goes on really smooth, as far as the smell goes it kind of has that sunscreen smell sort of like the Chanel foundations do which I quiet like. The main thing about this product that I love is that it actually matches my skin colour, I know it doesn't look like it does in the above image but when its blended out it matches perfectly I promise... So many BB creams that Ive tried are so orange or way to dark for my skin and those are always the lightest shades. This is one of the reasons that I tend to steer clear of the whole BB thing purely because they make me look silly, but not with this one!

As far as coverage goes its pretty light maybe even medium if you layer it up, but I tend to find that it just blurs all my imperfection and evens my skin tone which is all really need to cover on my face. I love this product and it has seriously become my everyday base product knocking all my other daily foundations away, it also helps that it has skin care ingredients in it to keep my skin looking healthy as well as providing coverage!

Overall this product is amazing, they do a few other shades including a couple that are purely for bronzing purposes which would be amazing under foundation for an extra glow!

SKINFOOD Salmon Darkcircle Concealer Cream Review

I will literally try anything to cover the dark circles that I have under my eyes. While they aren't puffy or really sunken in they are just really dark. So when I saw Marzia on youtube talk about this salmon concelear for under eye circles I decided to give it a go. I bought this little pot of ebay from here: Skinfood Concealer for on $8.63 which is an incredible bargain. One thing I will say is that I wish the shipping wasn't so long as it can be with some ebay purchases, but all that aside lets talk about the product!

Firstly the packaging is adorable, it comes in this quite large pot if you think about it which is full of product so for 8 dollars you're getting quite a decent amount for your money. The product is exactly what it is says on the tin, its a salmon coloured cream concealer, which is a consistency of concealer that I'm not used to using, i'm more of a liquid doe foot applicator concealer kind of gal. I was pleasantly surprised with this little pot, when I dipped my finger into the product it felt really creamy and nice, not too thick as some creams can be.

When I applied it under my eyes i dabbed it on one eye then sat back in awe, it covered the blue in my eye right up...like i'm talking back to skin colour gone!.  I then continued with the rest of my face as usual and was literally amazed at how well it covered my under eye circles. I will say that it does need a powder over the top, purely because it is so creamy that without one it may slide a little or crease slightly under the eye, but hey, if thats what I need to do in order to cover my silly under eye circles then so be it.

The true test came when I wore it to work having only had a few hours sleep I might add. I woke up looking like death, like a zombie awakening, I dabbed the concelear under my eyes and off I went to work. One of my regular customers asked me about my night and how much sleep I'd had she does this every week for some strange reason and I told her how tired I was and to my extreme delight she replied "Well you don't look tired!" THANKYOU SKINFOOD! Seriously thats the biggest compliment ever as opposed to when someone tells you "yeah you look kinda tired" biggest insult ever...

Anyway enough rambling about this product, I seriously love it, it works so well on me that I just wanted to share it with all of you!

Beauty Haul

Last night I checked my emails when I saw the words that I have been waiting to hear for months 40% off cosmetics at Priceline....I nearly ran from my room screaming. So this morning I was out early knowing how crazy bonkers these sales can be, and I bought a little stash of products that I've been wanting to try but never wanted to pay full price for which is pretty much everything here in Australia.

For the face I picked up the Rimmel Natural Bronzer in 002 Sun Bronze was $15.95 reduced to $9.57, I wanted a bronzer that I could kind of use all over my face and that wasn't to pigmented and this one seemed like a good choice! Next I got the Bourjois Happy Light foundtation was $29 reduced to $17.46 this is a product that I really wanted to try but hated that it was $30! so seeing as it was reduced I just decided to pick it up. Lastly for the face I got the Inoxa BB Cream was $24.95 reduced to $14.97 this is another product that I really wanted to try because its the only BB cream that seemed to match my skin tone and colour, I got this one in buff and it matches me perfectly.
For lip products I went straight to Revlon first because their lip products can be super expensive, I got a kissable balm stain was $17.95 reduced to $11.20 then I got a Rimmel Lipstick in Nude Delight which I'd heard a lot about and seems to be a perfect nude this one was $13.95 reduced to $9.45 and lastly for the lips I grabbed a Maybelline coloursensational lipstick in Fuchsia Flash which is a really bright pink shade which looks perfect for the summer time this one was $16.98 reduced to $10.24.

Overall I saved $47! which is pretty good seeing as these items are ridiculously overpriced. The sale is still going in Australia today the 19th and tomorrow the 20th of November so if your out shopping go into your local Priceline and grab some bargains because these %40 off sales done come around often!

Reviews of some of the products to come!

Frank Coffee Scrub Review

Let me introduce you to my new best friend Frank. I first came across Frank in my friends bathroom, "what the heck is that?" I exclaimed looking at the little brown bag sitting next to her sink, "oh my god, its a body scrub!" she said. I immediately snatched the packet off the counter and opened it. The second you open this little guy you are smacked in the face with an incredibly strong coffee aroma. It smells like a freshly brood coffee so if your not a coffee fan steer clear of this and I mean as far away as you can get this stuff is potent! As soon as I got home I googled this, and sure enough found the Frank website: frankbody.com and purchased it straight away. At $14.95 I feel that its reasonably priced, I mean its an all natural hand made body scrub!

Now to how it works... I hopped in the shower and took a small handful of the scrub, it is a little messy purely because its not in a gel form or a liquid form like other scrubs I've used, its literally just the granules of coffee and sugar, so after making my little mess I began to rub it onto my legs, and holy moly it felt good! Yes, its a little on the rough side but it actually feels like its working at exfoliating my skin. I didn't leave it on for the recommended 5-10 minutes but I don't feel like that took away from the scrub it still worked as well as I had hoped it would.

It left my skin feeling hydrated, which is rare for a scrub, it also left it feeling incredibly smooth. Usually scrubs tend to leave my skin irritated and red which this one didn't do whatsoever. As far helping with celulite I haven't seen any results purely because I'm only 20 years old and don't have any yet touch wood.

If you couldn't tell I am seriously impressed with this product, and its probably my new favourite body scrub!
Have you tried frank?

Max Factor Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick Review & Swatches

The whole lip pencil trend is something that has been going around the beauty world for quiet some time now, and the idea has always intrigued me. A balm like pen that has the pigmentation of a lipstick? Yes Please. However here in Aus these items tend to be just as pricey as a lipstick which has always made me hesitant to buy them...then I saw these offerings from MaxFactor. At only $2.95 a piece I figured why the heck not! (These usually retail for $9+ I got them on some random Priceline sale)

Vibrant Pink

The first of the four colours I chose was Vibrant Pink, this little guy is amazing, it is so creamy and moisturising yet has such great pigmentation.

The photo does not do it justice it looks a lot more like the colour on the swatch on my hand then it does on my lips, its truly a bright pink which will be perfect for the warmer months!

Couture Blush

Couture blush is more of a pale pinky nude colour, great for everyday wear and it is definitely my most worn colour out of the bunch. It goes on super creamy and fades really nicely throughout the day

Designer Blossom

I was really excited when I saw this colour because it looked like such a great red colour. However when I applied it I was actually very disappointed.  It is incredibly sheer, more like a tinted lip balm then a lipstick. Not really sure if this one will get much use because it is just way too sheer for my liking

Intense Plum

Intense plum is the worst of the bunch, for some reason it is way too creamy in texture, its almost soft like a body butter and smudges everywhere. You can tell from the swatch on my hand how thick it goes on and I wasn't even pushing the pen down hard on my skin.

When it goes on the lip it almost sits on top of the skin in a really strange way and as you can tell from the image looks horrible. It was so difficult to use and felt so terrible on my lips that I couldn't wait to remove it. It also has some strange gold shimmer through it, something else I'm not a fan of.

Have you tried these pens before? Or are there any similar products on the market that you think I should try?

Sally Hansen Nail Supplies Haul & Review

Recently my top coat ran out and when I went to re purchase the Sally Hansen Diamond Strength one which was $14 I saw this little kit. The kit contains a cuticle balm, base coat, top coat and these drops that dry your polish in speedy time. IT WAS ONLY $24!! Why would I pay $14 for one top coat when I could get the entire set for $24 this is how my mind works.
I justified spending the extra money by telling myself that I really should start using a base coat under my polish, I then told myself that my cuticles are unsightly and need help, then I said to myself "Lizzy you hate waiting for polish to dry, these drops will literally help your life!" So I bought it.

I'm actually really impressed with all of these products and so far they really seem to be helping my polish last longer, maintain my cuticles and quicken up the drying time of my polish.
I also saw these two strange looking polishes and just had to have them. The sugar coat is the strangest polish I own, it literally looks like you've gotten sand in your nail polish bottle and then applied it to your nails, not really sure as to why you would want that finish on your nails and not really sure that I'll wear it but it is a fun one to have in my collection. Fuzzy Coat is another strange one, it looks like little pink lines all over your nails and has a bumpy texture to it, I much prefer this one to the Sugar Coat as it actually looks like a nail effect rather then just looking lumpy.

There is my little Sally Hansen haul! Hope you enjoyed

NARS At First Sight LTD ED Eye And Cheek Palette Review & Swatches!

I have been telling myself for the longest time that when NARS release a palette that has the Laguna bronzer and the Orgasm blush in it that I would buy it no questions asked, however I haven't seen that happen in ages. Then this little baby turned up...
This is the At First Sight Palette and while it may not contain Orgasm it does have Deep Throat which I much rather prefer as it is not as pink.

The palette also contains 4 completely wearable eye shadows, which is why I was so prepared to pay the $94 that this cost me. It has a standard creamy nude colour perfect as a highlight or as a base, it also has this violet/light blur shimmery shade that looks so gorgeous on the lid and almost shows up silvery very appropriate for the upcoming holiday season, it then has a taupey nude and a very shimmery dark brown. All of these shadows like all nars shadows have gorgeous colour pay off, and are super long lasting on the lid.

Overall I'm quite thrilled with the palette, it seems perfect for travelling as you pretty much would only need to bring this as far as shadows and face powders go, and to have them all in one little compact with a huge mirror is definitely a plus.
